Description
While searching for some gigantic red fir trees seen from the road, Claire found she had to cross private land owned by a sawmill to get to them. As no one was around she began to quickly record the woodland she was in as the autumn colours were vivid that day and glowed in the blue English light. There is now a series of six drawings made plein air. Trespassing For Art is a drawing on painted paper made using pastel pencils, coloured pencils and graphite. The underlying vermillion acrylic paint breaks through the textured pastels which remain unblended and raw and creates a strong foreground inspired by the reds and rusts of ferns which lined the forest floor. Professionally framed.
