A couple walking their dog on the vast expanse of Hoylake Beach on a cool but bright autumn day with rain clouds moving in from the sea towards North Wales, which can be seen in the background on the far side of the Dee estuary. In this painting Alison captures the clear autumn light reflecting off the clouds and the many shallow pools on the sand at low tide.
