Description
This intricate piece depicts the Rhino, most species of which are now endangered and some even extinct. They have existed for over 45 millions years, so they were here before Man, and therefore before Man’s invention of ‘Religion’. It is in part due to some cultural or religious beliefs that they are dying out as their horn is thought to have medicinal properties, though it is also used as a status symbol. The rhino in this piece is slowly disappearing into the darkness, in upward drips into the ether, hinting at its divine status and also its dwindling numbers….
