Description
« Explore the Colours: Green Leaves » is a large abstract (Diptych) on paper. It is part of the monochrome series; the only colour I used is green in different tones and shades. Contrasts come from white and black charcoal. The greens and the handwriting of the brushstrokes reminded me so much of leaves while painting, that I added some charcoal sketches of leaves and called it « Green Leaves ». The paper is a high quality artistic paper (Canson, 290 gsm). Both paintings have a small (1 – 1,5 cm) white rim around, so you need no mount to frame them. To strengthen the character of the paintings and their colours, they are sealed with a silky matte varnish.
