Edition of 5. Pigment print on 250gsm matt surface paper, beautifully rendered with rich, saturated colour. All paper sizes include 2.5cm white border around the print for framing. Also available in 76 cm x 91 cm size within the edition of 5. ‘Left Turn At Mars’ is part of the larger body of work titled ‘Interventions’. In this series, Horvath deconstructs images from his archive of 20th Century magazines, cutting and pasting fragments out of their intended frame of reference, creating hyper-real, imagined, colour saturated environments. While his imagery is sourced from material that was originally conceived to impact influence (such as mid-century advertisements) it is collaged with the intent of removing the initial context and reason, creating optimistic narratives informed by childhood memories.
