‘Pink Sangria’ blazing sun and ice cold drinks, a work from Susan’s ‘Seaburbia’ series explores the cultural memory and heritage of the quintessential Australian beach house. Experimentation with modernist features and new building materials often resulted in quirky beach houses typical of the character of coastal towns. Sadly this house was demolished soon after the painting was completed.
