Description
In this body of work, The Urban Wastelands Project, I set out to explore the great unnamed and forgotten corners of our urban landscapes: these are the post-industrial edgelands that fringe our cities and towns. These images represent snapshots of journeys taken through cities, suburbs and motorways whether for leisure or work. In many of the collages the rear-view mirror acts as a two-way mirror of past and future; a gateway rooted in the present, allowing us to reflect on what has gone before and what might take place.
