Description
Red Neon Orb is one of the largest neon sculptures I’ve made and my first with red neon. In this piece have only used two bars of metal; I’ve tried to refine and simplify my use of line but maintain a sense of movement that’s so important in my work. I have mounted the piece onto a stainless steel plinth so the viewer has a lovely mirrored image of the piece and the plinth’s surroundings. The sculpture has a waterproof transformer which means it’s suitable to display outdoors. The current stainless steel plinth is a table-top plinth; a floor standing plinth could be fabricated at an additional cost.
