Description
This beautiful piece of stone is Australian Talc stone; it has green, black and quartz markings and the sculpture has an oiled and waxed finish. I made this as part of a series of shell form sculptures in 2012-2013, focusing on simplicity of line and curve to imitate polished shells and pebbles on a beach after years of being smoothed by the water. This carving is one of the spiral carvings I made within this series of abstract shell sculptures. It is an interior sculpture and fairly heavy at 17 kg.
