This piece is about the beautiful yet sadly endangered Blue Whale, the largest mammal on the planet. The artist had to give up her typical square setting for this animal as it was just too long! A gentle and serene giant, McNaught’s depiction shows the Blue Whale at his most glorious, with the sunbeams bouncing off the water ripples echoed all over the top of this giant beast, with the upward drips hinting at this almost mythical creatires divinity…..
