Near the Czech Polish border is the city of Ostrava, This is the old industrial heartland of what once was the AustroHungarian Empire. Over the last few years I have been painting the ruins of the Vitkovice steel plants and coal mines This small painting is the first in the series.These industrial relics are the Roman ruins of our time.
